Spotlight on LAX

Los Angeles Airport (LAX) is one of the world’s busiest airports, with millions of fliers passing through every year, and that number growing every day. To accommodate that many passengers, the airport has continued to make upgrades over the years, and a large part of those upgrades have included many great, new restaurants. We’ve highlighted a few of our favorite spots, so if you find yourself at LAX hungry before your departure, during a layover, or waiting for a delayed flight, keep reading for our top restaurant and bar picks at LAX.

Rock and Reilly’s: Terminal 1

Located in Terminal 1 and based on the West Hollywood original, Rock and Reilly’s offers a world-class selection of whisky in addition to great beer selections. The Irish pub also serves comfort food like corned beef sliders and nachos, as well as a selection of sandwiches, burgers, and street tacos. Needless to say, this is a great place to grab a beer and hangout before your flight.

Barney’s Beanery: Terminal 2

Have a sports game you need to catch before your flight? Barney’s Beanery in Terminal 2 is your spot! Barney’s has been an LA hot spot since 1920 and offers diner food inspired by Route 66. This is a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Grab a coffee and some pancakes or a delicious burger while you wait for your flight.

Shake Shack: Terminal 3

The newly renovated Terminal 3 is home to the New York-born roadside burger stand, Shake Shack. Hungry travelers can enjoy a delicious sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich for an early morning flight or opt for their classic Shack Burger, fries and milkshake. Either way, your stomach will be satisfied.

Earth Bar: Terminals 3 & 6

If you’re into more healthy options, Earth Bar in Terminal 3 and 6 offers healthy snacks, smoothies, and grab & go food options. It goes without saying, this is an ideal option if you want to keep it light and healthy before you fly. Grab an acai bowl and a smoothie before you leave LA.

Lemonade: Terminal 5

Terminal 5 is home to Lemonade and offers a California-focused and seasonally driven menu with a combination of healthy options and comfort food in a modern cafeteria setting. Lemonade provides fliers with a casual dining experience featuring marketplace salads, unique sandwiches, and slow simmered braises. A great place for a pre or post-flight meal.

James’ Beach: Tom Bradley International Terminal

Tom Bradley International is home to the Venice native bar and grill, James’ Beach. This is a great spot to grab a cocktail or glass of wine with delicious tuna poke or mahi mahi tacos before hitting the tarmac.
