Al Lenza – Al Lenza is a senior sales and marketing executive primarily in the travel industry with extensive expertise in e-commerce, distribution and merchandising. Since 2008, Al has been the CEO of Lenza Group LLC a travel management/distribution consulting firm with clients that have and/or include some of the world’s largest airline, hotel, and technology companies. Al currently serves in a number of Boards/Advisory Boards for various technology and e-commerce firms in the travel space. Prior to starting his own business, Al worked for 14 years as Vice-President, Distribution and E-commerce for Northwest Airlines. While at Northwest, he was one of the key players in building nwa.com to the industry’s award winning website, implementing various e-checking technologies, developing numerous innovative strategies in dealing with GDS companies and Online Travel Sites as well as leading the formation of industry joint ventures Orbitz and Hotwire. He also served on the Boards of Orbitz and the predecessor to the Travelport GDS, Worldspan. While at Northwest, he participated in developing the most integrated Transatlantic alliance (with KLM). Between 1996 and 2007, Al was named to the Business Travel News Top 25 most influential executives 4 times and in 2009 was named to the Top 25 of the Top 25. Prior to joining Northwest, Al spent 12 years with the Continental Airlines Group, in e-commerce and distribution, including a stint at the then System One GDS (which eventually merged with Amadeus). Al has also has served as an Arbitrator on industry is disputes facilitated by the American Arbitration Association and also as an expert witness in various industry cases. He is a frequent conference speaker and panelist.
Jerry Behrens – Jerry Behrens is a partner in and Senior Vice President of both theTravel Leaders Group, the parent company of 6 travel divisions, and Tzell Travel Group, a mini-mega TMC with projected 2013 ARC sales of $1.25 billion and total sales just under $2 billion. Jerry’s responsibilities include overall strategy for the group, airline relations and acquisitions. Mr. Behrens has spent his entire working career in the travel industry, starting with Amtrak as a Red-Cap at Los Angeles Union Station in 1975. In 1979 Jerry began a 16 year career on the airline side when he was hired by Continental Airlines. AT CO, he worked in reservations, revenue management and sales. Over this span he moved six times throughout the U.S., ending up in New York City as Continental’s Sr. Director of sales for the Northeast U.S. In 1995 Jerry left CO for Tzell Travel. He has won and been nominated for multiple awards throughout his time in the travel industry, mostly by his peers. Mr. Behrens sits on numerous airline advisory boards as well as ARC’s Travel Executive Council. Jerry, a native of Southern California, lives in Old Tappan, New Jersey with his wife Susan and triplet 5 year old boys, Jake, Luke and Zack. He has a daughter Leslie, who lives in Los Angeles and owns a boutique bakery called The Flour Market.
Tom Sparico – Mr. Sparico is the Co-founder and President of Brand New Matter, Inc. (“BNM”), an advisory firm providing strategic, executional and transactional services to early stage and lower middle market companies. He is an entrepreneur, inventor, and advisor with over seventeen years of experience founding, leading and advising companies with a focus on travel and hospitality. Prior to founding BNM, he was a co-Founder of INTRAVEL, a holding company formed to launch or businesses focused on niche or underserved market sectors in the travel industry. There he led the all strategic planning and corporate development including leading the acquisition and turnaround of Hickory Global Partners as its President. Prior to that, Mr. Sparico was the Founder & CEO of both Internet Travel Enterprises and Marquee Concierge. He began his career as one of the Founding employees at the intellectual property think tank Walker Digital Corp, and is a named inventor on over 100 patents in myriad fields including casino gaming, travel, lottery, telecommunications, retail and insurance. He transitioned from Walker Digital to join the Founding team of Priceline.com, leading product development and revenue management through his departure in 2001. Mr. Sparico currently serves as an Advisory Board member to several companies and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eric Trump Foundation benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Frank Morogiello – Frank Morogiello is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Industrial Practice in the Dallas office. He specializes in executive search and leadership advisory in targeted market niches within the airline industry globally. He also partners with the Consumer Practice to support clients on the consumer and operations sides of the travel and leisure industry. Frank also leverages his many years of sales leadership by working closely with our Marketing, Sales & Strategy Officers Practice. Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Frank spent more than 30 years in the travel industry and held senior managerial positions with American Airlines in sales and general management, both in the field and at headquarters. Frank’s early career at American spanned 12 years and ranged from airport operations, to management roles in various cities, and ended in training and recruiting positions at the corporate headquarters. Frank also served as a senior officer for four years with a major travel distribution company. His previous line management experience encompasses roles in operations, commercial sales, distribution, product sales, marketing, budget management, and alliance programs and planning. This varied background gives him significant insight to all aspects of running a global business. Frank has also supported the establishment of new business lines and operations with alliance partners. He has been a presenter, panelist, speaker and sponsor at numerous travel events and global conferences. Frank serves on the board of directors and executive committee for the Texas Tourism Industry Association as well as the Business Travel News Board. Steve Reynolds – Steve is currently founder and president of The R Group, LLC working with corporations, traditional and online travel agencies, as well as travel industry vendors regarding the strategy, procurement, deployment and optimization of technology to improve processes, increase revenues, and reduce costs. Prior to consulting, Steve was the Managing Director for North America for WNS, the largest BPO provider focused on the travel industry, and Regional Vice President for Travel and Transportation for ACS, the largest outsourcing company in the U.S. While at WNS, Steve managed a $250M division providing fulfillment, call centers, technology, and analytics to the travel market. While at ACS, Steve was responsible for the growth, operations, and profitability of a $200M division providing fulfillment and call center services to the travel and transportation market. Prior to ACS, Steve was the founder and Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and Client Services, at TRX and managed solution delivery, a global sales team, and customer support. Prior to TRX, he founded and served as President and General Manager of Travel Technologies Group (TTG), which became TRX in 2000. While at TRX and TTG, Steve consulted with major online and offline agencies and corporations regarding technology development, strategy, integration, and deployment. TRX went public in 2003. He is a frequent conference speaker and panelist.

Doug Levinson – Doug Levinson has a dual undergraduate degree in English Literature and Biological Psychology (having studied at Stanford, Berkeley, and Oxford), a J.D. from USC Law and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. Doug has worked as a successful investment banker, lawyer, corporate strategist, consultant, entrepreneur, and university instructor. He has served as a law clerk to the California Court of Appeal and as a Special Master to the United States District Court. He has also served as a consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. As an academic, Doug has taught for 17 years at four different top-20 graduate schools (in two different disciplines). As a consultant, Doug helped engineer the sale of an internet infrastructure company to a publicly-traded competitor for more than $500M.
